Cleveland Indians Game

My whole goal for today was to sleep in extra late and catch up on the sleep I have missed in the last couple of days..
Marlee had other plans.
After a large blow out, I had to take apart her bassinet, hand scrub it, and hang it out on the line to dry.
She is now being punished with a sleep sack.

Pure torture. No leg holes for you Marlee!

Oh well, I have been wanting to post pictures from the Indians game we went to on Saturday.
Nick, Isaac, Marlee, and I took a family trip to Cleveland for dinner and the Indians (vs Mets) game and I seriously had such a great time! I forgot how much I enjoyed sporting events. The Indians won, we received a free Bourn jersey, and even snacked on free popcorn (thanks again Lise!). The fireworks were amazing (thanks Nick Swisher!) and by the end of the game, we were all exhausted.

Pre-game shenanigans

Isaac was so excited!

This photo actually made the big screen at the game!!
Marlee's first Indians game!

This was about the time Isaac started to get bored. Eight year olds attention spans are only so long.
This little photo session kept him busy for a minute.

Photobomb!

Family picture! Marlee just sleeping away.

Go Mets! Sike. You lost!
(He thinks Marlee is a Mets fan)

Perfect Saturday night.
We took a risk taking Marlee out for so long considering she has been such a pistol lately but she is part of our family and I hate leaving her out of things. And these memories are something I will cherish forever.

Weigh-in Wednesday

Short post!

Lost 1 pound! Woot woot!

Started the 30 day squat challenge and it's kicking my butt - and I don't mind!

I also started increasing and tracking my water intake with a new app called Waterlogged.

I really like the app because I can get a good visual of where I'm at during the day and how much water I have to go in order to reach my goal.

I may or may not be consuming equal amounts of coffee each day but that's a whole other hurdle I need to tackle. I will worry about that later.

Ok back to work!

Happy Labor Day!

The family and I had a great weekend of end of summer fun.

Just typing 'end of summer' makes me wanna cry.

Saturday we cheered the Ohio State Buckeyes onto a victory and we spent some time with friends. Marlee met my bestie Kelly for the first time and we were able to catch up a bit.
(When are you moving back btw?)

Note to self: Don't stand next to Kelly. She can make a supermodel look like a house.
Just kidding Kel. You look great - as usual.

Sunday we went to the Tozzi's and Marlee was put on a wait list for being held. Next time we are going to take a timer so everyone gets a turn. Needless to say, she enjoyed all the extra loving. Baby girl loves to be held.

Today we went to Gma Wanda's for time with my side of the family. Once again she was passed around and loved on some more.

In that last picture, she wanted some coffee - just like her mom.

Marlee also scratched herself this weekend and officially had her first boo-boo. It didn't seem to bother her very much but as soon as I got home, I knew I had to suck it up and clip her teeny tiny claws to prevent further injury.

And of course I clipped the end of her finger.
It seriously bleed for five seconds and she cried for even less then that.
I cried for about ten minutes and you would have thought she was bleeding out from my reaction.
Traumatized.

So scratch away Marlee. I will never clip your fingernails again.

Happy Labor Day everyone!

Bath Time!

I went a little crazy with the picture taking yesterday while baby girl was in the bathtub. She just loved every minute of it and so I let her soak her little worries away. And she sleeps amazing after a nice long bath so it was a win win for baby and me!

I was also looking back at her first bath pictures and she has grown so much!
My chunky little nugget has really filled out!

She makes the funniest faces sometimes. I could seriously sit and laugh at her all day.

We were also able to enjoy outside a little yesterday on my day off.
See! Pissed off face for absolutely no reason. Apparently she did not want to be this close to the pepper plant.

She was enjoying her daddy and the sun!

She even rode Brusco backwards. My little daredevil.

And now it's 2am and everyone is sleeping. I should be too but my body is always on a strange midnight schedule so it's hard to sleep thru the nights on my day off. Marlee will be waking up here soon anyways and after looking at these pictures, I am anxiously waiting for her to rise. Motherhood is strange like that. I spend half the time wanting her to nap and the other half waiting for her to rise.

Until next time! Goodnight!

Weigh-in Wednesday

Not only have I been slacking on working out, I also completely forgot to weigh myself this morning. So only God knows if I have lost or (GASP!) gained weight. I am going to continue to be optimistic and say that I lost. Even though my sister was so kind to point out how big my butt is! Anna you are banned from Marlee for a week!

Pumping at work sucks so bad by the way. Blogging makes it go by a little quicker... Still about as uncomfortable as it gets. I feel bad for cows.

This week I made some awesome peanut butter cookies which had no flour in them which practically makes them healthy. Right? They were moist and really tasty. Besides the couple I treated Brusco with, I actually ate the whole batch. I did have to bake while holding my fussy Marlee which was a workout in itself. I can cross 'one handed baking' off my bucket list.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies
Ingredients:

1 egg
1 cup Peanut Butter
½ cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix everything together.
Form balls. (Hopefully you have two hands for this part.)
Make pretty patterns with a fork.
Bake @ 350 degree for 11 minutes.
Eat!

Work has been decent this week.
Isaac had his first football game and won!
Breastfeeding is actually (dare I say it!) enjoyable this week. I think being away from Marlee makes our time together so much more special and feeding is a huge part of that.
Marlee met her oldest cousin Taya.

Here are some other pictures from the week.

Not too exciting but definitely busy!

Hopefully this gives Aunt Lin her Marlee picture fix for the week :)
